Courtney Bancroft (MSci, MCSP, MHCPC, MACPC)

Specialist Neurological and Paediatric Physiotherapist

Courtney joined our team in 2025 after graduating with a degree in Physiotherapy from Keele University. She is a dedicated physiotherapist with a passion for delivering personalised, evidence-based care to children and young people with a wide range of neurological, developmental and musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions. Courtney is committed to building strong, trusting relationships with every child and family she works with, creating a positive, supportive environment where patients feel confident, motivated and empowered throughout their rehabilitation journey.

During her clinical training, Courtney gained extensive experience across a variety of paediatric placements, including Positive Steps, where she developed specialist skills in play-based physiotherapy, family-centred care and supporting parents and carers to continue therapy programmes at home. She has a particular interest in helping children achieve meaningful goals through fun, engaging and motivating therapy sessions that are tailored to each child's individual needs.

Courtney also brings a strong musculoskeletal (MSK) background to her paediatric and neurological practice, enabling her to assess and treat children with sports injuries, orthopaedic conditions and movement difficulties alongside neurological presentations. She particularly enjoys supporting children with paediatric MSK injuries, combining her knowledge of movement, strength and rehabilitation to help young people return to the activities they love.

Alongside her clinical work, Courtney provides physiotherapy within specialist education settings through Positive Steps' contracts with Kemball School and Newfriars Academy, where she spends time each week working closely with students, teaching staff and families to support children's physical development, mobility and independence within the school environment.

Courtney also delivers hydrotherapy sessions, using the therapeutic benefits of water to improve movement, strength, balance, coordination and confidence for children with neurological, developmental and physical disabilities.

Outside of work, Courtney enjoys running, Pilates and circuit training, as well as spending time outdoors on long walks with her sisters and their much-loved sausage dog. She also enjoys keeping up with the latest films at the cinema.
