MotoMed

The MOTOmed is a motor-assisted movement therapy machine designed to support a wide range of abilities. It can be used in either a seated or standing position and is fully wheelchair accessible. The MOTOmed can be used for both the arms and legs — either separately or at the same time.

The machine offers different levels of support depending on the user’s needs and ability. If independent movement is difficult or tiring, the MOTOmed can assist the movement, allowing muscles and joints to continue moving and stretching without requiring excessive effort or energy. At the other end of the scale, the active setting allows the user to complete the movement independently, with optional resistance to increase strength and endurance. There is also a middle setting which provides partial assistance while still encouraging active participation. All settings can be adjusted to suit the individual.
