Successful Recovery – A Client's story

stock 9

Sometimes, when we work with a new client, we recognise that the support that we provide is just as important as the technical expertise that we offer.

When dealing with a new diagnosis or a recent trauma, it can be very difficult for our clients and their loved ones to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Days are spent navigating a brand new sense of reality and unfamiliar challenge.

This means that the gentle and consistent encouragement of supporters such as Physiotherapists is vital for progression.

As a team, we pride ourselves on being the biggest supporters for our clients. Offering informed guidance and expertise. Helping to celebrate the little wins and cheerleading along the way. In light of this, please take a look at the following testimonial from one of our wonderful clients. We have been so privileged to have helped this lovely lady on her road to recovery as she has been recovering from a haemorrhagic stroke.

"Lorna was recommended to myself and my mum to help us with my mum's recovery from a haemorrhagic stroke. At this point we were desperate and frustrated with the lack of specialist help available for my mum's rehabilitation.

Despite being some distance from the practice (we live in Cumbria) Lorna explained how she could help with video sessions, an individual programme and instructional videos. From the first contact she was friendly, positive and very professional.

I was impressed with the step-by-step progressional programme we received and the 'how to' videos were great to show us exactly what we were doing each day.

Lorna was always there when we had questions or concerns.

We started on the physio programme and could see positive results within a few weeks, which had an amazing effect on my mum's motivation and morale. Aside from the physical effects, Lorna provided reassurance and hope to us when we were in a very low place. Because she understands brain injuries, she could empathise and show a deep level of understanding which has been invaluable.

I'm so glad we found Positive Steps Physiotherapy and my mum can now see that she will get better and live the best life she can. We can't recommend highly enough."

Although Physio is very tiring I do feel a lot better afterwards and it helps to have a Physio that I can have a laugh with and that I can talk to. I feel it is very beneficial.

From A.D

Lorna makes the hard work of Physio fun. She has children of her own and relates well to my 7 year old boy. He has made good progress since she started working with him.

From R.G

Thank you Lorna, I cannot recommend Positive Steps Physiotherapy highly enough to support anyone needing specialist physiotherapy help.

From R.C

Lorna has been my son's Physio for over 3 years. He has a complex medical history and I can not underestimate the impact that Lorna has had on his life and ours as a family.
