Taking up SPACE in Chester!

The team here at Positive Steps took part in a coffee morning last week at SPACE, Chester.

This was a parent information session aimed at parents and carers of children with additional needs and disabilities.

SPACE are a registered charity working locally to provide a support service for families and children with disabilities and additional needs.

SPACE parent information mornings are held on the 3rd Friday of every month, with a different theme each time. This coffee morning was dedicated to sharing information on available therapies for children and they asked us to come along.

We set up a small table at the event, with information about our services and we were on hand to offer insight, examples and encouragement to attendees looking for information on how Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy can be beneficial to children of all ages.

Having a number of therapy providers under one roof for parents and carers to speak to at SPACE, in a safe and relaxed environment, was really beneficial to all involved. We had the opportunity to share information on some of our services and it was brilliant to get some first-hand feedback and opinions from parents and carers.

We were delighted to be invited to share the work that we do with children, and it was a pleasure to be part of the morning as a whole. It was also lovely to enjoy a little road trip with team members and to ask new faces what they may need in a Physiotherapy team.

Thank you for the invite SPACE. It was wonderful to meet all of the professionals; all looking to get the best help for the children we have the pleasure of working with.

And of course, it was lovely to introduce ourselves to some new families too!
